The ExchangeWe had to do a mini video of a particular genre and our group chose romance. After filming this we picked out what we did well and what went wrong in our video. This then helped us film our preliminary task as we knew what not to do.
Also this helped us learn from our mistakes when it comes to filming, and improve our knowledge. BC & HS |
the preliminary taskIn this task we had to have someone walk through a door, then sit down and exchange a couple of lines to another person. We had to do this using the correct camera shots, angles and movements; including the 180 degree rule.
During the conversation we used a mid shot as we want to see the peoples facial expressions. If we used a long shot the audience would concentrate on other things happening around and behind them. BC & HS |

Wrong preliminaryWe used a wrong 180 degree shot in this preliminary. This meant that person A and B were on the same side of the camera as it was moving around 360 degrees. This is wrong as you're meant to stay within 180 degrees and if you're having a conversation person A and B need to be on different sides.
